Tuesday Night at The Roaches 23/6/09

A fantastic evening at the Blushing Buttress area of The Roaches on Tuesday. Not a drop of moisture in the air and just enough wind to keep the bugs off! We climbed Rib Wall (VDiff), Gully Wall (4b), Left-hand Route (4b), the excellent laybacking crack of Right-hand Route (4c) and the tough War Wound (6a), before finishing off the night with a spot of bouldering. The sunset capped off the night perfectly. More picture in the photo gallery.

Horseshoe Quarry

We're glad everyone enjoyed our evening on the limestone this week. We started at the top quarry at Uranus (F3+), followed by Klingon (F4), with Luke Skywalker (F4) and then Beam Me Across Scotty (F5). We then went Potty (F6a), visited The Bog (F6a) and Latrine (F5). Kay delighted us again with her cakes which always go down a storm! Looking forward to grit next week at The Roaches.

Burbage North Outdoor Night

Another fine evening climbing outdoors this week, with plenty of routes crammed into the night. Everyone had the chance to have a go at the classic 20-foot Crack (4b), The Chant (5a) and evening wall (5b) amongst others. Tuesday Climbing @ Stanage

Amazing weather again for our weekly outdoor night, this week at the Hollybush Crack area of Stanage. Climbers enjoyed Garden Wall (4a), Leaning Buttress (5b) and Yosemite Wall (5b) well after sunset as it was such a pleasant evening. See you next week at Burbage North.
