New Bouldering Problems

Jamie Cassidy did a fantastic job last week and spent 5 days resetting 75% of the routes in the centre!!. These range from easy 4`s to challenging 6b`s ask on reception for the new route card.

Tuesday Evening Climbing @ LAWRENCE FIELD - Yet another fine evening greeted us at Lawrence Field for some atmospheric (and high) climbing around the pool and amongst the trees. Climbers suceeded in reaching the top of some very difficult climbs including An E1 straight up the far left face of the quarry. Looks as though the summer is here to stay and we're looking forward to next week's trip to Yarncliffe, just down the road from Lawrence Field.

Tuesday 31 July 2007 - STANAGE - The summer was definately here to stay on Tuesday evening, with brilliant blue skies and warm sunhine to greet us at the poular end of Stanage. Good climbing on Hard Severe and Very Severe routes provided a great warm up for a top rope attempt on an over-hanging E2 at the end of a fine evening!

Tuesday 31 July 2007 It seems as though the summer has finally arrived and is here to stay!! We've now had two weeks in a row of glorious sunshine for our outdoor climbing and things couldn't be better. A lead climb and top ropes on HS and VS climbs at the popular end of Stanage made for a great evening culminating in a top rope attempt on an E2. The sun setting, lack of wind and warm temperatures brought out our old friend the midge!! It was almost unbearable with such a swarm, but the hardy souls battled on for an enjoyable night.
